UP Board Class 10 and 12 toppers 2026 announced, girls dominate top ranks with scores above 97%

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the Class 10 and Class 12 board results for 2026 along with the official toppers list. As soon as the results were declared, students across the state checked their scores, and attention quickly shifted to the highest achievers of the year.

This year’s topper list highlights excellent academic performance, with many students scoring above 97 per cent. It also shows strong competition among top rank holders, where even small differences in marks decided positions. Along with individual success, the results also reflect broader trends such as strong performances from smaller districts and the continued dominance of girl students.

Class 10 toppers show strong performance across districts

In the Class 10 (High School) results, the first rank has been jointly secured by Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma. Both students scored an impressive 97.83 per cent. Kashish Verma is a student of Baburam Savitri Devi Inter College in Sitapur, while Anshika Verma studies at The Modern Academy Inter College in Barabanki.

Their performance highlights how students from both rural and semi-urban areas are achieving top ranks in state board exams. It also shows that academic excellence is not limited to big cities, as students from smaller districts continue to perform very well.

The second rank has been secured by Aditi, who scored 97.50 per cent. She is also from The Modern Academy Inter College in Barabanki. This shows the strong performance of this school, which has produced multiple toppers this year.

The third position has been shared by three students. Arpita from Sitapur, Rishabh Sahu from Jhansi, and Pari Verma from Barabanki all scored 97.33 per cent. Their results show how closely matched the competition was among top scorers.

Class 12 toppers highlight consistent academic excellence

In the Class 12 (Intermediate) results, Shikha Verma has secured the top position with 97.60 per cent. She is a student of Baburam Savitri Devi Inter College in Sitapur. Her performance continues the trend of strong results from this institution, which has once again produced a state topper.

The second rank has been jointly held by Nandani Gupta from Bareilly and Shriya Verma from Barabanki. Both students scored 97.20 per cent. Their success reflects the growing academic strength of schools in these regions.

The third rank has been shared by Surbhi Yadav and Puja Pal, who both secured 97.00 per cent. Several schools, including Maharani Laxmi Bai Memorial Inter College in Barabanki and Sarvodaya Jankalyan Inter College in Bareilly, have multiple students in the top ranks. This shows consistent academic performance from these institutions.

Girls continue to lead in overall performance

One of the most important trends in this year’s results is the strong performance of female students. Girls have once again dominated both Class 10 and Class 12 topper lists. They have not only secured top ranks but have also shown better overall consistency in marks across the board.

This trend reflects a growing shift in academic performance patterns in Uttar Pradesh, where girls have been outperforming boys in recent years. Educators say this is a positive sign for education in the state, showing improved access, focus, and support for girl students.

Highly competitive results with narrow margins

This year’s results also highlight how competitive the board exams have become. With top scores crossing 97 per cent in both classes, the difference between ranks has been very small. Even a fraction of a mark has played a role in deciding final positions.

Experts believe this reflects the increasing preparation level of students and the growing importance of board exams in shaping academic futures.

As students celebrate their results, the topper list serves not only as recognition of individual achievement but also as an indicator of overall academic standards across Uttar Pradesh.
